Learn About Music Instruments

Hey, there I’ve got an old Scandalli Accordion that belonged to my great uncle I believe. I want to sell it, but I have no idea how much it is worth. Its model number is L 264/50, and it was made in Italy. If anyone knows any Accordion experts, or something similar let me know please! If anyone else knows that’d be great as well.

Wow. My dad has a 120-bass Scandelli and had payed $800 back in the 1960.

That Scandelli is a rare accordion depending on how many sets of reeds are inside of course.

We have an old (140 years ) antique Accordion SOBERANO(Germany).Can you help me about the value?

What condition is it in?
You can find a local antique appraiser that will come to your house and tell you the value of it. Check with local antique shops for a reference.

it’s a german style diatonic Accordion. It has no brand marking of any kind….very small and plain features.
there are one row of buttons. the only marking on it says-Made in Germany. I was told by antique dealer that it dates around war world one.

That’s probably all you’re going to know if you took it to an antiques dealer and that’s all he/she was able to tell you. Try taking it to a different dealer for a second opinion. No one on here will be able to tell you much based on verbal/textual description.

I have a traviata accordion that was brought from europe about 30 years ago and I am mystified about it’s origin. I have searched all over the internet and found nothing. I am absolutely clueless, please tell me something about it!

I doubt that there are any accordian experts on Yahoo Answers that can answer such a question, particularly without seeing the instrument. However, there ARE experts on-line.

You know those Accordion things that go on the side of a window mounted air conditioning unit…..are those things necessary? My window isn’t large enough to accommodate the unit and the accordion things.

No, you don’t have to use them, but you’ll need to block off any openings so you’re not letting outside air in your room. Be sure the unit is secure in the window, too. You don’t want it falling out.

I can’t remember the lyrics, but it has a catchy Accordion tune. It’s an old hit song (maybe 70s or 80s), and completely in Portuguese.

Ask this in Portugal and or Brazil in Yahoo!answers, Travel. Between the two you’ll find it.

I’m thinking of buying it off a friend who doesn’t use it but I don’t want to get something that will be junk in a few months. Does anyone have any words of advice or comments on the brand? Much appreciated.

I worked 17 years for Marrazza and know the owner personally and the person who used to repair them. That Accordion is a very well made instrument.

Trust me, the ownere had a radio show and is name is Johnny Marrazza . He had 2 stores with the same name.

Haha, I really want to learn how to play the accordion. I was in Piano for a while but I wasn’t that great and I learned mostly the basics. Do I need to play the piano to play the Accordion?

I would guess. I doubt you need to know it by heart, though.

I am looking to purchase (sound barrier, vinyl) Accordion doors for residential use, measuring 12 feet wide by 9 feet high. Can anybody give me an estimate of what this might cost me? I have no idea. I have requested quotes from some sites, but will have to wait awhile for responses, and I’d like to get some type of estimate as soon as possible. I’d appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thank you!

For that size, I’d estimate anything from $1500 to $2500 depending on the quality you choose.
