I know you have to play the toms and bass drum but how come it sounds more ringish and stuff. I think it might have to do with tuning my drums but how do i make the Drums sound much more like the songs intro?
Sounds like your drums need some dampening. Try cutting up a sock and duct taping it to the head on the edge of the drum. Your drums will always sound a little more ringy as they use miking and recording techniques to cut the ring – resonance – out of the drum sound. To get that real good thud sound you’d probably need to wayyyy over dampen by putting towels inside the drums.

How long does it take to become good at drums? Any tips on how I can get better?
Author: admin // Category: DrumsI’ve been playing for about a couple months now, and I’m decent thus far I guess, but I was just curious as to know how long it would take when I practice to become pretty good at drums?
P.S.: Any tips on how I can get better? That would also be appreciated thanks!
It depends on how much hours you play Drums per day. If you have a good ear for music , you will succeed better
Cheers && Enjoy XD

I am a beginner, and no almost nothing about Drums, and please don’t say buy a instructional video/ book.
well the BEST way would be lessons from someone who knows their way around a set. but since you said no instructional videos or books…. i will assume lessons is not an option either.
the next best way is to just start playing along with some of the songs you like. make a playlist on your mp3 player or cd, get a pair of headphones with big ear pads, and just play along!! the best way to learn is to just start doing it yourself. start with easy songs, of course. if you want more instruction, just visit youtube. there are tons of instructional videos on there that will get you started learning the basics. I grew up without internet, so i self-taught myself by just playing along with my favorite bands.
its no professional studio, its just a place with Drums. the problem is that my camera’s mic can’t support the loudness of the drums and the sound comes a bit like its blown up and like "shhr shrr" probabaly because the drums are too loud for the camera’s mic. what can i do so that the drums arent too loud for the camera? perhaps put the camera in a cardboard box? or what? please tell me… and we dont have much cash to spend btw. thanks a lot guys!
If u are looking to record just the sound,,, i would recommend placing the set in a closed room and then put the camera just outside the door… this should eliminate most of the high frequency sounds produced by the drum kit. it still will not sound the greatest but unless u want to pay the cash and get ur set miced up then this will be the best you can do.
Misses at 1:30 and 2:35.
I probably will be going for this FC, me and Th3DarkM3tal are having a little race for this. I just need to work on the 2 parts that I missed at. Other than those 2 sections, I am pretty consistent with everything else. I rarely miss in the blasts, and if I do its like 1-2 notes.
Also, by the time i can hit those 2 sections consistently, maybe I’ll be able to figure out the activation at 2:30 without losing the OD.
Oh and idk if this matters, but 1 foot 1 pedal whole song, like always.

what’s the difference between rhythm drums and regular drums?
Author: admin // Category: DrumsI’m a beginner drummer and i was looking online for some drums and i saw some black pearl drums. It had the word rhythm by drum set like "Black Pearl Rhythm Drum Set". I was like what? Then it did’nt say it on any other drums. So i’m confused. Can you help me please?
I think you are speaking of the Pearl Rhythm Traveler set. It is not exactly the same as a traditional drum set. It is made as more of a practice kit although you could play live with it. The Drums are smaller than most kits…toms are 10, 12, 14 with a 13×5 snare. The toms are fairly shallow (5 inches), and they do not use a bottom head which I don’t like. The reason is so they can stack inside of each other to save space. It is a good idea for someone that needs to cart a drum set around in a small car, but I wouldn’t really recommend it as your main drum set. There are plenty of more conventional sets in the same price range. Maybe check out the Pearl Vision line.
