Best guitar to buy on a teenage budget?

Author: admin  //  Category: Guitar

I wanna learn guitar.
I have $400 saved in the bank, and I am trying to start working for more.
I want a good quality guitar that I can buy within 6 months-1 year.
Any ideas?
Haha sorry, I want to be able to play mostly rock music. :D
my friend said a Fender would be best, but another said that that’s the worst way I could go D: sooo now i am even more confused.

Fender is good Idk about teenage budget though… Try a squier.

A strat is good for a lot of clean tones and mild rock tones. It is a lot brighter sounding than many guitars, has a tremolo (Whammy bar) and is a fairly popular model. A strat will also Hum.. Google 60 cycle hum from single coil if you dont know what I mean.

If not look at Epiphone Les Pauls…

They are designed for Rock n Roll… 2 humbuckers, a nice thick sound. Pure rock n roll all the way, but you can still play blues and cleans on it. It has humbuckers so it wont hum like a strat will.

Rondomusic.com has a bunch of really good lower priced Guitars. I bought one of their $200 basses and it plays like a $500 instrument.. I’d recommend them..

Oh and I play live gigs… and get paid.. Take it from a pro musician you dont need a $1500 guitar. A $300-$500 guitar will do just fine and you dont have to cry when it gets dings and scratches. You can also afford more guitars this way lol… I have a small collection, they are all unique and sound great too.

Should i start with electric guitar or acoustic guitar? Which is better for beginners?

Author: admin  //  Category: Guitar

Hi i have experience in Piano so i think it should be fairly easy. Which Guitar should i start with. I have no experience on the guitar. Please tell me the reasons why i should start on that guitar. im thinking of buying an electric. What do you recommend.

I know this probably isn’t the answer you want to hear but acoustic DEFINITELY. I had played piano for 6 years before I wanted to pick up guitar thought the same thing. I figured since I ultimately wanted to play electric that’s what I’d buy instead of "wasting" money on an acoustic that I wouldn’t use really. Any advanced guitarist will tell you to start on acoustic though. The strings are harder to press and everything but that is what will make you good. If you can play well on acoustic that is tougher to play on you’ll be able to SHRED the electric. Same with piano which you have probably realized. I regular is harder than a Keyboard but better to learn on. I just bought a cheap acoustic Yamaha from Costco when I started out. I mainly play electric now but I still like to play certain songs on acoustic or haul it around my house and play. Anyway,
I can’t stress this enough: If you are serious about guitar and want to learn it the best way go acoustic first. Stick with it till you feel really confident about your playing and then buy an electric. I was impatient too but when I got to the point where I knew I was ready for an electric I was glad I had practice on acoustic. As a piano player you should be able to pick up really quick. BTW go to the musiciansfriend or guitarcenter website. Maybe Costco too like what I did. lol. Pick out a maybe a cheap Yamaha, Fender, Epiphone, Ibanez… whatever. I wouldn’t spend much over 200 bucks though for a beginner guitar. Your best bet is for around 150 bucks. And don’t learn with a capo. You don’t want to depend on one of those things.

What guitar effects pedals do I use to make my electric violin sound like an electric guitar?

Author: admin  //  Category: Guitar

I’m wanting to find a effects pedal that will make my electric violin sound like an electric guitar, sounding like for example Ozzy, System of a down ect… Also I’m hoping to find this at a good price.

distortion. you might want to try then all out, because i don really know which one would fit a Violin. i recommend BOSS ds-1, or an MXR distortion.

PS: for the guy above, there is a way to make your Guitar sound like a violin, its called Ebow, the coolest thing on earth for violin sounds, and eternal sustain
